Fashion Committee
VSAM Tet Show’s fashion committee is a celebration and showcase of the traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai, and local AAPI fashion designers. Through the adoration of dress and community, the fashion committee brings together the spirit of Vietnam to all.
Traditional Dance Committee
Robot dancing, Squidward waves, Fortnite moves, or whatever dancing you got, is all accepted by the Traditional Dance Committee. Rather than judging talents and previous experiences, this committee values the effort and desire to improve and have fun. Everyone from all backgrounds is welcome to be part of the making of traditional performances.
Finance Committee
The finance committee oversees the management of Tet show budgets and expenses. They are responsible for coordinating outreach to local businesses for sponsorship opportunities as well as creating fundraising events for the show.
Modern Dance Committee
The Modern Dance committee dances to modern Vietnamese pop and hip hop with its cool and unique performance style. You’ll be in awe of their unique and exciting choreography.
Hospitality Committee
Hospitality Committee is a unique committee. We do background tasks like keeping track of volunteers and decorating the venue, but we also do things that involve all volunteers such as food distribution and volunteer bonding. We make sure that everyone is fed, accounted for, and having a good time while also having a good time ourselves.
Performance & Skit Committee
The Performance and Skit committee puts on a show by including singers who perform modern/traditional Vietnamese songs, as well as actors & scriptwriters who tell a story relating to this year’s Tết Show theme. Actors & scriptwriters are members of the skit committee who bring storytelling to life through cinematography and on-stage performance, featuring Vietnamese & Asian-American culture.
Logistics Committee
The Logistics committee works behind the scenes to organize the entire Tết Show, make sure it runs smoothly, and combine the work of all the committees to create everything you see and hear in our show day presentation.
Multimedia Committee
Multimedia is in charge of creating social media content and graphics to promote VSAM’s Tết Show and capture the memories of the works forever through photo and video. Our role is to keep the surrounding Vietnamese community informed and intrigued about the Tết Show through media unique to each year’s theme. We are a team of students that put our utmost effort into increasing our outreach and involve our community.
